Overshadowed in East Asia by the allure of Mainland China and Japan, Taiwan is on few Westerner’s must-see lists. Yet it is more popular with Asian visitors because of food and regional cultural clout, and that’s why we decided to explore it for the very first time.
We arrived at Taipei on the early morning when our hotel room was not quite ready yet, we parked our suitcases there and (without changing airplane outfits shown above:) went directly to the Taipei National Palace Museum (故宫). Other than enjoying watching all the incredible treasures such as jade cabbage, I specifically love all the old local alleys in the city. It somehow reminds me the old Beijing where I spent my childhood…Below are a few more pix taken along the way by our phones~~
I hope that you enjoyed my little photo diary of our first few hours in Taipei. And you know there’re more to come~~^_*
Happy Friday! xo
