I hope you all had an amazing and relaxing holiday break with your family and friends!
Now that we’ve entered into a brand new year, I’d like to start off my blog by sharing with you my fitness journey and tips. Hope that’d help to motivate you all to get stronger everyday!
For those of you who’re new readers to my blog, I’m a 43 years old mom with 2 teen aged kids, I’ve worked full-time in marketing & sales field at a fortune 500 biotech company for more than 15 years. Fashion and fitness are my passions outside work, and that’s why I started this blog a few years ago!
My fitness journey begun almost 10 years ago and I’ve pretty much tried on all kinds of exercises. My current workout routine includes 4 days barre class (1hr) and 1-2 days cardio (3miles running) every week. Like any working mom with super busy schedule, my goal is to find a hybrid workout influenced by the best of Yoga, Pilates, weight training, and cardiovascular exercise, because TIME is so precious! I joined my neighborhood barre studio 3 years ago and became addictive to this safe smart fitness program based on wellness! This one-hour low impact class works every major muscle, followed immediately by a stretch. It combines large compound movements with small isometric movements. It increases my body flexibility and strength, and most importantly, it’s effective and safe!
If there’s only one advice that I can offer, it’d be: no matter what exercise you choose, think of your resolution as a lifelong commitment to a healthier lifestyle! Because you are much more likely to be successful if you take it easy at the beginning and can continue to follow it for a long time.
Fitness is a journey, not a destination. Let’s encourage each other to begin the journey to transform our bodies, empower our minds and get stronger everyday!
